Biography
With 16 years of professional experience, Judge Elisa Boerekamp is on top of her field. And she is a powerful advocate for equal rights and opportunities for women judges in Mozambique and beyond, working as High Court Judge and General Director of the Centre for Judicial and Legal Training of Mozambique (Centro de Formação Jurídica e Judiciária)
Because equal opportunity promote fairness and Justice in the legal profession so that women judges can insure that issues such as gender stereotypes, sexual harassment at places of work come to an end. It also creates diversity in the Court that can help improve on access to Justice to more women. The WLI help to promete women in law as role model to other women.
