Biography
Martin Gruber-Risak is an Associate Professor at the Department of Labour Law and Law of Social Security at the University of Vienna (Austria). He is the co-editor of the HSI Report on European Labour and Social Security Law and the national expert for Austria with the European Centre of Expertise (‘ECE’) in the field of labour law, employment and labour market policies that advises the European Commission.
Masculine and feminine roles are not biologically fixed but socially constructed (J. Butler). This also applies to the legal profession and it is not in favor of women. It is on us to deconstruct them for the better of not only the women but of us all.
