Biography

Natalie Harsdorf-Borsch serves since Dec 21 as acting head of the BWB. She has held different roles there since 2009 being the first woman in leadership at the agency, having been a driving force be-hind building up the institution. She is the first elected female coordinator for the OECD Competition Bureau vis-à-vis UNCTAD. Natalie founded the WCNA pushing the visibility of women in her field. She teaches and has published widely, including on competition matters and the gender lens.

I myself have had to show resilience in my career and it has been my motto to pave the path for other women so that they have an easier track to success. Having been trained to comprehend the rule of law and human rights it is completely unacceptable to me that within that knowledgeable legal community equality is still a dream. The legal profession should be at the forefront of equality and not behind. Single efforts can only achieve that much, organized support can do so much more.
