Sadly enough, there are still powers at play that bar women entry to the positions they deserve. Often, because they feel threatened that women getting their positions based on merit would expose the mediocrity of the men who held these positions before them.
I find it a very worthy cause to support women in the legal professions to the best of my abilities, using my male privilege to act as an ally. Unfortunately, members of affected groups still require allies to lend credibility to their voices. Because men often discredit the female perspective until it is presented to them by another man.
