Biography
Sandra Konstatzky started in 2003 in various functions in the Ombud for Equal Treatment, the national equality body in Austria (legal advisor, department manager for the topic gender equality, deputy director). Since 2018 she holds the position of the director. Since 2023 and from 2015-2021 she was and is currently board member of EQUINET, the European network of equality bodies. • Board member of the Austrian Women Lawyers’ Association (“Die Jurist:innen”). She is a master in networking in equality issues at national and international level. 2023 she won the Justitia Award „game changer“.
Equal treatment has always been a key issue for me. The law is the lever for improving the representation and participation of women in all areas of life.
