Equal opportunities for women in the legal profession is important due to the biases that exist. My commitment to improving the situation of women in law stems from the fact that I have witnessed the great contributions of many women in law that remain uncelebrated. Organisations such as The Women in Law Initiative are vital platforms that put the spotlight on the achievements of women in law in acknowledgment of their efforts.
