Axana Soltan

Biography

Axana Soltan, J.D., LL.M., M.P.P., is an international human rights lawyer specializing in international criminal law, human rights, and gender justice, with a particular focus on advancing the recognition of gender apartheid as a crime against humanity under international law. She serves as Lead Counsel at GALI Justice and is a Fellow at both the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs and the United Nations, Office of Legal Counsel in Geneva. Soltan holds law degrees from the University of Oxford and The George Washington University Law School. She has been named to Forbes 30 Under 30 and is a recipient of the U.S Congressional Literacy Award.
