Birgit Forgó-Feldner

Birgit Forgo-Feldner, assistant professor at the faculty of law in Vienna. She started her studies three decades ago when there was only a hand full of female professors. Students were used to be taught, examined, and promoted by male professors. The situation has changed – but not significantly enough. Birgit encourages her students and assistants to take further steps towards equality. As an expert of Roman law and society, she knows the answer to the question “cui bono?” Who takes profit from inequality?

Everybody has to be committed to improving the situation. There is no justification in being not committed.
