Eliana Zatschler

Eliana Zatschler is Secretary General of EWLA. With legal qualifications from France, Italy and the UK, her principal area of expertise spans the legal aspects of the internal market and digital economy, including data protection, intellectual property, e-commerce, and AI. She moreover has cross-cutting experience of applying fundamental rights and employment law. Eliana’s background includes work in both the public and private sectors, including with MEP and former EWLA President Jackie Jones in the European Parliament. She was first elected to the Board of EWLA in 2018 and has been its Secretary General since 2022. Based in Brussels, her role encompasses building stakeholder relations with the EU Institutions.

She regularly lectures on Gender Equality and Internal Market, including at the Law Faculty of Timisoara, her home town.‘

Eliana is a Member and Moderator with Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti Discrimination Law.
