Equal opportunities have always been important, specifically in the legal profession and more generally in positions of power. Today, AI brings new challenges to achieve gender equality in the algorithmic age, where the law, the legal profession have to seize the opportunities and adequately address the risks for equality and non-discrimination. Women in general and particularly in the legal profession need to sit at the AI decision-making table to ensure that equal opportunities are a reality not only in the offline but also in the online world.
