I. Stephanie Boyce
I am the 177th, the sixth female, the first Black office holder and the first person of colour to become President of the Law Society of England and Wales
Unconscious bias hinders women’s ability to progress in the workplace even where there is no intentional discrimination. As such, it can be especially difficult to identify and root out. But root it out we must. I believe that here we have an opportunity to be at the forefront of driving change and eradicating the biases that unfairly hold women back. To address this bias, we need to work together – women and men alike – to understand how bias manifests itself in the workplace and what action we can do to tackle it.
