J. Jarpa Dawuni, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Political Science at Howard University and Founding Director of the Howard Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership. Founding Executive Director of the pan-African non-profit organization, the Institute for African Women in Law. A social entrepreneur with a vision for uplifting women and girls.
Women have all it takes to be leaders. I have seen the power of women’s mobilization across Africa. Women do not need handouts, they need an even playing field to show their leadership skills.
Equity and inclusion is not a favor to certain groups. It is a fundamental right and when fully exercised, it lifts the boat for all of humanity
