Linda Senden
Biography
Linda Senden is a Professor of EU Law at Utrecht University and coordinator of the European Equality Law Network’s gender stream, a role she has held in various capacities since 1992. She leads the Horizon Europe RE-WIRING project, developing pathways to ‘rewire’ legal institutions toward genuine gender equality, and was appointed UN Women Representative of the Netherlands for 2026. Her decades of comparative research have directly shaped European Commission policy and enforcement frameworks.
