Marion Guerrero

Marion Guerrero is a legal researcher and is currently working as an associate in a Viennese law firm. Apart from this, she is holding regular lectures at the University of Vienna, and is a nominated expert on gender discrimination law for the European Equality Law Network / European Commission. Marion wrote her dissertation on strategic litigation at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, and publishes regularly on these and other subjects.

I was always very interested in gender issues, and I believe that women still face a number of obstacles in the legal professions, in particular unconscious bias and systemic discrimination – especially when it comes to women with child care obligations (i.e., the legal professions usually require long hours, meeting times that do not correspond with child care institution opening hours, etc.)
