Nuzhat Bashir

I am working as the Deputy Prosecutor General Punjab, in Lahore high court. I am the first female appointed as Deputy Prosecutor General Punjab through state level public service commission competitive exams. In addition, I am currently appointed as the chairperson of Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010 committee and Focal person for Punjab Protection of Women Against Violence Act, 2016.

Coming up the ranks of a predominately male profession I was always mindful of the trials and tribulations of female professionals across legal practice and other workspace settings in Pakistan. In 2017, I headed the state of 17 female prosecutors to United States of America while collaborating with different sections of the State Department and investigation agencies. This experience provided me with the exposure and the confidence of performing as a leader beyond territorial bounds.
