Selen Yakar

Biography

Selen Yakar is a research associate at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law at the University of Vienna, working in projects on legal implications of health data processing. She is also writing her dissertation at the University of Bonn with a focus on gender discrimination by AI systems in the light of the AI Act. As part of her doctorate and several lectures and publications, she has focused on the detection and prevention of gender discrimination through algorithmic systems.
