Thembisile Mahuwa, Candidate Legal Practitioner and Masters Candidate in International Human Rights. An advocate for young women in Law, Thembisile actively promotes and encourages young women in the legal fraternity to use their knowledge and skills to develop their communities and advance the development of fellow young people in the profession by using their skills, knowledge and experience. Thembisile uses her influence to reach more young people in the fraternity through virtual platforms.

Starting on an unequal slate continues to be a disadvantage and dissservice. We need representation in strategic leadership position. Representation shows possibility and transformation. The protection of women lawyers. Some regulations are not women-friendly. In ensuring healthy working relations and environments, the female voice has to be represented,this is why the Women in Law Initiative is not only important, but relevant and much needed.
