She was a founder of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”) and is the President-Elect of the National Association of Women Lawyers (“NAWL”). She is the DEI columnist for Chicago Lawyer magazine and serves on the DEI Committee of the New York City Bar Association and the Board of the Chicago Bar Foundation.
Women in the legal profession need to come together. Our strength comes not just from numbers, but from the connections we form while together; connections which make us more effective allies and friends. In the US, women’s rights are under siege; young women in the US today have fewer rights and more limitations on them than their mothers and grandmothers did. This can happen anywhere. Our strength will be in our sisterhood. The Women in Law Initiative can be pivotal in building and strengthening that sisterhood for women and their allies in the legal profession.
